The Effects of Chungsangbangpoongtang Extact Solution by Oral Administration and Topical Application on Acne

Abstract
This study was performed to review the effects of Chungsangbangpoongtang extract solution (sample) on the acne. Anti-inflammation, anti-histamine, antimicrobia were measured after the oral administration and topical application of the sample to
the
acne
of the experimental animals. Dose of samples were taken by 490 mg/kg and 980 mg/kg at this experiment.
@ES The results were obtained as follows.
@EN 1) On the rat paw edema induced by 1% dextran, an anti-inflammatory effect was showed in 120 and 180 minutes by the oral administration group with the sample 980mg/kg as compared with the control group.
2) On the rat paw edema induced by 20% yeast, an anti-inflammatory effect was showed in 180 minutes by the oral administration group with the sample 980 mg/kg as compared with the control group.
3) On the contact dermatitis induced by picrylchloride in mice, inhibition rate were showed with 11.4% by the oral administration group with the sample 490 mg/kg, and with 23.2% by the oral administration group with the sample 980 mg/kg
respectively as
compared with the control group.
4) On the histamine shock in mice, time to death was extended by the oral administration group with the sample 980 mg/kg as compared with the control group.
5) On the increased vascular permeability induced by 0.5% histamine in mice, an inhibition to the leakage of dye was showed by the oral administration group with the sample 980mg/kg as compared with the control group.
6) On the contraction on the isolated ileum by acetylcholine, barium chloride and serotonine in mice, inhibition rate was getting higher by the increasing concentration of the samples.
7) On the acne induced by oleic acid in rabbit ears, it showed the similar pattern of recovery by the time course in the topical application group with the sample 980 mg/kg and oral administration & topical application group with the samples 980
mg/kg
respectively.
8) To the micro-organism, similar progress of antimicrobial activities were showed in the 50 §¶/disk and 100 §¶/disk with the samples to Escherichia coli and Streptococcus fecalis respectively.
